About Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce and Economics.
Placements: At this college, students can get admission to Lala Lajpat Rai College if they have 70% marks. The minimum package is 4.5 LPA in the BBI course. Accenture, Wipro, KPMG, Amazon, Jio, Muthoot Finance, and others are some of the recruiting companies. Actually, in this college, they have a CGPA system. The minimum is 6 to 7 CGPA to take an internship at a big company like Wipro and Jio. In the BBI course, we have to gain knowledge about finance, and we can get better positions in the banking sector and other fields.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good. The infrastructure is also good, but they do not have a big campus. Wi-Fi is available. Labs are also available. The classrooms are air-conditioned. There is a big library with air conditioning.
Faculty: If we have any doubts, we can ask teachers, and they clear our doubts. Faculty members are knowledgeable and qualified. In this course, they help us get ready for the industry. The semester exams are very difficult, and the passing percentage is almost 50%. Faculty members are also good and understanding.
Other: I chose this course because I like to learn about finance, management, insurance, etc. That is the reason. Overall, the course is good. There are many events, fests, and extracurricular activities.

A balanced blend of academics, opportunities and vibrant campus life.
Placements: Bachelor of Commerce B.Com program offers diverse career opportunities in finance, accounting, consulting, and corporate sectors. Placement outcome, however, varies depending on the institution's reputation and network. On average, 40-65 percent of B.Com students secure campus placements, while top-tier colleges such as SRCC, Loyola, NMIMS, and Christ University report placement rates as high as 80-90 percent. Salary packages range widely, the highest offers reach 12 LPA to 20 LPA in Elite firms, the lowest fall around 2 LPA to 3 LPA for entry-level roles and the average package typically remains between 4 LPA to 6 LPA in reputed colleges (3 LPA to 4 LPA in mid-tier).
Infrastructure: B.Com department provides modern infrastructure and resources to enhance learning. Classrooms are spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with projectors and smart boards for interactive teaching. Campus offers high-speed Wi-Fi, enabling students to access e-learning platform and research material. We have a well-stocked library with books, journals, and e-resources that support academic needs, while computer labs with updated software provide hands-on exposure to accounting and business tools. It has seminar halls and auditoriums that host workshops, guest lectures, and placement activities. Also, we have common rooms, discussion space and a dedicated placement cell to ensure holistic academic, professional and personal development for commerce students.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is fabulous. The course curriculum is relevant to make students industry ready. Semester exams are challenging enough and the passing percentage is fairly good. Faculty members are friendly and very supportive.
Other: I chose B.Com for its strong foundation in commerce and career opportunities in finance and management. Best aspects are practical subjects, diverse curriculum and placements. Improvement is needed in industry exposure and training. Campus life is vibrant with fests, extracurricular activities, good connectivity, scholarships and an engaging crowd.

Lala Lajpatrai College review by John Quadras.
Placements: Lala Lajpatrai College does have a placement cell that offers internships and job offers as well. Internship does not provide any stipend by my experience, as I have done an internship that was given by the college placement cell. It will help an individual to get experience of corporate life.
Infrastructure: Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce and Economics doesn't have a hostel as it is a college. But it is one of the best colleges in South Mumbai. It is situated in a prime area as well, so one can use any public transport. So I live in Worli, and the college is in Mahalaxmi.
Faculty: Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce and Economics has one of the best faculties in South Mumbai. The faculty is extremely frank with the students and helps the students regarding studies as well as their events as well. They create a healthy learning environment, which is needed for students.

Our seniors got very nice placements.
Placements: I'm a student in the B.Sc. in Information Technology program at Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce and Economics. I'm happy to report that 70% of the students in my course were placed. The highest package offered was INR 4.90,000, the lowest was INR 1,00,000, and the average package was INR 3,60,000. The top recruiting company for my course is Cisco. In addition, 50% of the students in my course got internships.
Infrastructure: Our college has a good canteen and good medical facilities, but no hostels. There is a library with AC for all department students, and there is one lab available for my course. The lab has AC, and there is one classroom for our course. Wi-Fi is only available for studying on PCs.
Faculty: The teachers in our IT department are very helpful and good at their jobs. They have a good sense of humor and are very knowledgeable about the material in our course. The semester exams are difficult, which helps us catch our mistakes easily.

Evaluating my college experience.
Placements: I'm yet to pass out so I'm writing this as per my seniors. 40% of students were placed in this course.
The highest package was 10 lac per year, the average package was 4 lac per year and the lowest was 2 lac per year. Wipro and many more companies are recruiting. Data analyst is the top role offered
.
Infrastructure: The classrooms were equipped with fully air-conditioned projectors and labs with smart boards and Wi-Fi facilities. There is a good seating area in canteen and it has a wide variety of food options available with proper hygiene. The food quality is the best.
Faculty: The teachers were qualified with M.Tech., M.Sc. (IT), etc. And they are helpful too in doubt-solving whenever we need them. The BSc IT courses are relevant because they make students ready for the developing country of digital India. The pass percentage were 60–70%.

Faculty: Teachers were great. The syllabus was very good. Semester exams were moderately difficult. The pass percentage was around 85%. The course curriculum was relevant to make students ready for the industry.
