NID Kurukshetra has visiting faculty members who are comparable to Paldi and Vijayawada, and the name NID is completely reliable. The transit campus, which has all the facilities and workshops for the three departments of industrial design, visual communication design, and textiles and apparel design, is adequate even if the permanent building is still under development and has the chance to establish new cultures and things, among many other things, is the finest thing about being a student at NID Kurukshetra.

The DAT is a two-stage exam. Candidates must first take the DAT Prelims, and if they are shortlisted, they must take the DAT Mains. The final merit list for admission is based on both the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. To be eligible for admission, candidates must:Have a Class 12 or equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 60%Have appeared for the National Entrance Test (NET) or Design Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by NIDSubmit a portfolio of their design workCandidates who are allotted seats must pay a seat acceptance fee of INR 30,000 to confirm their seats. The other NIDs are located in the cities of Kurukshetra, Vijayawada, Jorhat, and Bhopal. NID Kurukshetra was established on November 15, 2016, as an autonomous institute under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India). Both institutes offer Bachelor of Design (B.Des.), Graduate Diploma Program in Design (GDPD), Master of Design (M.Des.), and doctoral programs (PhD).
