The Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Mr Ashwini Vaishnaw, officially launched the NIELIT Digital University (NDU) in New Delhi. It will offer industry-specific courses in fields such as AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Semiconductors. He also inaugurated five new NIELIT centres across different Indian states.

The main goal of the NIELIT Centre in Delhi is to develop skilled labor in the fields of electronics, computer science, information technology, and other related subjects in order to produce professionals who are ready for the workplace and to advance e-learning.
National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Delhi accepts scores of JEE MAINS Entrance exams. JEE MAINS is India's most taken and accepted engineering entrance test taken by NTA. A score of 250 and above is considered good for 85 to 95 percentile which can get a student admission into various engineering colleges. NIELIT Delhi's last year cut-off was rank-based. Hostel, Swami Vivekananda B.Tech. Hostel and Diploma Hostel Each of these hostel-blocks has well-ventilated rooms designed to accommodate students on shared occupancy basis. The hostel rooms are furnished with cots, study-tables, chairs, cupboards and bookshelves, enabling comfortable stay and to ensure a learning conducive environment. Each floor has common washrooms with modern sanitation facilities. Hygiene and cleanliness of the rooms, floors and surroundings are taken care of by routine house-keeping services.
Yes, the institute has an online placement portal which is free for registration by the NIELIT qualifiers. The institute then presents these details to the employers to create employment. The NIELIT Delhi placement portal slo facilitates prospective companies to examine and shortlist resumes based on needs and skill sets. Subsequently, the portal shall be scaled to permit non-NIELIT qualifiers to submit their details along with a reasonable fee towards placement efforts by the institute.
