The Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Mr Ashwini Vaishnaw, officially launched the NIELIT Digital University (NDU) in New Delhi. It will offer industry-specific courses in fields such as AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Semiconductors. He also inaugurated five new NIELIT centres across different Indian states.

National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT Delhi) was established in 2000 and became an independent centre in 2012. It has been an Autonomous Scientific Society. NIELIT Delhi Centre offers training programmes, long-term and short-term courses in the fields of Information Technology, Electronics, Multimedia, etc. The DOEACC Delhi Centre (NIELIT Delhi) is approved by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Before it was known as DOEACC, NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology) supplied the affiliation for O-Level courses. All applicants for the "O" Level computing course must have successfully completed their 10 + 2 coursework in any stream, according to the eligibility requirements.
NIELIT Delhi Admission Process and Important Dates 2025
NIELIT Delhi admission to short-term courses (also known as certificate courses) is done basis of merit and qualifying exam scores. Further, admission to long-term programmes such as NIELIT O level, A Level and CHM O level is done on the basis of the NIELIT exam. The number of seats reserved for people with disabilities is limited to 3% and is included in the roster for reservation of SC/ST/OBC categories. Seats are reserved as per Government of India Rules and Guidelines, AICTE and/or Dr. B.A.M. University approval.
Admission is based on JEE Mains & JOSAA. For B.Tech. II Year (Lateral Entry subject to availability of vacant seats) to be done by NIELIT Aurangabad. Keep visiting their website for updates.

NIELIT Delhi Scholarships 2024
NIELIT offers scholarships under the Protsahan Puraskar Scheme for SC, ST, differently-abled and female candidates. Candidates of O/A/B/C level courses are offered scholarships. In order to avail the scholarship, candidates need to clear all the papers in the first attempt in every semester. Further, candidates’ parents’ annual income from all sources should be less than INR 2.5 LPA. All eligible candidates need to apply for the scholarship 1 month after the exam results are declared.
