It is a nice place to study with helpful faculty members and fun extracurricular activities.
Placements: For a pure science course like Mathematics, the college provides guidance rather than direct job offers. Most students choose to pursue higher education, such as M.Sc., MCA, or professional programs. A number of graduates also prepare for government service exams, banking, and research-related opportunities. While campus hiring is not very frequent for Maths, there are occasional visits from private schools, coaching institutes, and IT-related firms that prefer analytical skills.
Infrastructure: The college has a simple yet functional setup. Buildings are moderately spacious with proper ventilation and natural light. Classrooms are well-arranged, and the seating is comfortable for long hours. Laboratories for Mathematics and Computer applications are adequately equipped, though a few modern upgrades could make them even better. The library is one of the strongest points of the campus, offering a variety of reference books, journals, and study materials. Sports areas, NSS/NCC wings, and open grounds add to the overall students' experience. However, digital classrooms and advanced technology facilities could still be improved.
Faculty: Mathematics department has supportive and knowledgeable teachers who make subjects easier to grasp through clear explanations and interactive sessions. The course syllabus is designed under the University of Calicut, which covers both core topics like algebra, calculus, and differential equations, as well as applied areas such as statistics and basic programming, ensuring a balanced academic foundation. Examinations are organised in a systematic manner, with internal tests, assignments, and presentations preparing students well for the semester assessment, where consistent study and understanding usually lead to good results.
Other: I chose a B.Sc. in Mathematics course because of my interest in problem-solving and logical thinking. Faculty members are supportive, and the syllabus gives a solid base for further studies. Campus life is lively with fests and activities, though more exposure to digital tools and workshops would make the course even better. Surroundings are peaceful, and the campus crowd is friendly, which makes the overall experience positive. Scholarships and decent connectivity add to the advantage, though transport facilities could still be improved.

Placements: NSS College, Nemmara has limited placement opportunities, with approximately 10% of students securing positions through campus recruitment. The salary range for these placements varies from 2.40 LPA to 4.10 LPA. However, specific details regarding the highest, the lowest, and average packages for individual courses are not publicly available. It's important to note that many students opt for higher studies or seek employment opportunities independent, as the colleges placement cell is still developing.
Infrastructure: College provides basic classroom facilities for B.Com students. However, some students have noted that infrastructure is outdated and could benefit from modernization. College offers a girls' hostel with accommodation for female students. However, there is no on-campus hostel facility for male students. Male students often seek private paying guest (PG) accommodation or other housing options in the vicinity.
Faculty: Faculty members-to-student ratio is high and they are friendly with the students. They provide the best quality time to students and they are well-educated. They provide quality education to their students. Every semester above 96% students are passed. Course curriculum is relevant.
Other: The best part of the college is academics. Faculty members provide the best academic and they are much more concerned about the education purpose rather than anything. They also encourage in cultural activities as I am a B.Com students we are about to know about the application of subjects but college has limitations in that but our faculty is providing us a commerce lab this year better is yet to come.

Average college with poor placements and outdated facilities. It needs major improvements.
Placements: Placements in our college are very limited for B.Sc. Mathematics. Hardly any reputed companies visit for recruitment, and most students have to either prepare for higher studies like M.Sc. or write competitive exams. There is almost no structured placement training or guidance provided. The average package is not relevant for our course as most students don't get direct jobs from the campus. This is one of the biggest drawbacks of the college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not up to the mark. Classrooms and labs are outdated and need renovation. Wi-Fi is not consistently available, and library facilities could be much better. Hostel rooms are average, and food quality in the canteen and mess is often poor. Sports facilities are very basic. There is a lack of proper medical support. Overall, the infrastructure feels neglected compared to other colleges.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable, but the teaching methods are very traditional. There is very little use of modern teaching tools or practical exposure. The curriculum is not industry-oriented and does not prepare students for real-world challenges. Exams are moderately difficult, but the focus is more on written learning than application. Pass percentage is decent, but overall, the learning experience feels outdated.
Other: I chose mathematics because of my genuine interest. But the overall college experience has been disappointing. Campus environment is dull with very few extracurricular activities or cultural events. There is hardly any industry exposure, workshops, or seminars to improve skills. Connectivity to the college is average, and the surroundings lack a lively campus atmosphere. I wish the management focused more on students' development, skill-building, and better facilities. With improvements, the college could do much better.

Good college atmosphere and college life in 2025.
Placements: I am a B.Com 3rd year student. When I joined in 1st year, the percentage to get B.Com was more than 95, now it has increased. Companies like TCS and Infopark have recruited. The last company that came for internships was Infopark. Through this course, we can learn the professional course in a simpler way.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are very large. There are a total of 64 students in my class. The college itself has unlimited Wi-Fi for all students. The lab is also set up for commerce. The college also has a large library which can be used by all. There are NCC and NSS sports as extra activities.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are guiding us well. All teachers are a good company to us. Till now, there was no problem in last semester's exams. The pass percentage including external and internal is 36 out of 100%. Teachers are very supportive if it is for the project also.
Other: The reason I chose B.Com is that I mainly want to study banking. You can study banking even if you study other courses but it will make it a little simpler when we take B.Com and study banking. One thing that I felt could be improved a little more would be to put a test paper after each chapter to help you study a little more.

NSS College is budget-friendly.
Placements: First of all, it is an aided college. There are no placement opportunities available in NSS Nemmara. Despite offering 12+ courses, not a single one provides placements. Therefore, if you are seeking placement opportunities, it is advisable to choose another college.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility available. Therefore, students from distant districts have to arrange for external hostel accommodation. Regarding classrooms, they are spacious, but there are insufficient fans. During my time of study, only two fans were operational—one for the professor and the other for the entire class of 60 students. The Wi-Fi facility is limited only to faculty members. While there is a good sports ground available, sports activities are not actively promoted.
Faculty: In my batch, we achieved a 95% pass rate. Faculty members are more than averagely knowledgeable. However, their teaching style may be challenging for some students. Faculty members are friendly and very supportive of the students. The curriculum is industry-relevant.
Other: There are numerous instances of student misbehavior on the grounds, which require management intervention.

My campus, NSS college, Nemmara.
Placements: About placement, I really don't know. As per my experience, students are not getting placements. My department has challenging roles. Top recruiting companies recruit from my course. Department of History channels very well.
Infrastructure: My campus has really good infrastructure and is helpful. And classrooms are very good, a fan is available. And most of the students find the Wi-Fi. And the library is very helpful for career growth as a part of a student's life. Different language books, novels, poems, and stories are available. And the library also makes the campus life the most beautiful part. I am not staying in a hostel, so I don't know any details.
Faculty: My college faculty, curriculum, and exams for the course are really good. Teachers are really helpful. Our study and other activities improve students' skills. And teachers are knowledgeable and qualified to the degree, PG+, M.Ed, etc. And students are industry-ready. Exam pass marks are 36 and above. Teachers are really helpful.
Other: I chose the course B.A. History, because I feel like it has better career growth. The course offers the civil service category, which is the main reason and a very big achievement for the course value. I have improved, and my reason is this course. And college events and film festivals are a part of students' lives on our campus. Crowd is very powerful. Students study and in their free hours they enjoy other activities. Scholarship is available for the special category, SC, ST, etc. And the extracurricular activities for career growth are stepping stones like the NSS and NCC programmes. My college life was good. My college faculty, curriculum, and exams for the course are really good. Our study and other activities improve students' skills.
