Great college life experience and good for placements.
Placements: For placements SHC students have more opportunities than other college students. Looking towards our seniors who have just passed out a 70 percent of them have been placed in different companies. The recruiting companies are EY, Deloitte, ICICI Bank, etc. If you're searching for admission for the course B.Com to get placed in companies then Sacred Heart College Thevara is the best college.
Infrastructure: When we talk about the faculty members they are pretty good but still there are some negativities too. The B.Com department has a separate lab. The library in the college is one of the best knowledge providing libraries in the entire state of Kerala. Classrooms are well developed it is very comfortable to attend the classes without any problems. In the case of a hostel you should choose wisely. Some hostels may ask for more fees and year by year they will be increasing the fee so it will be very difficult to manage. The food and facilities are very comfortable and neat.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful but in some topics it looks like they also don't have enough knowledge about the subject. Teaching quality is good but among them they have favouritism to students. As per my view it is slightly difficult but still they teach us well. Sem exams are really difficult because year by year they are making the exams very difficult but actually it is good for us. Making it difficult will encourage us to study more and be thorough with it.

B.Sc. in Chemistry - Batch of 2029

Love-hate relationship with SHC.
Placements: I have not passed out yet, however, many students have complained in the past year that a specific faculty member in the placement cell is very problematic, and the students are made to work to the maximum without any return. Some do get placed. I have heard from a peer studying in Psychology that she chose SH because the placement rates are higher for psychology students compared to other colleges.
Infrastructure: Our Chemistry lab just got renovated this year with new things. The furniture, apparatus, materials, and everything else are new. We also have access to free Wi-Fi at the college on the main campus. Tho it's strength is weak in some places. The library is well maintained, and new books get delivered like almost every month I think. You can also drop your suggestion for new books to be brought to the library. Medical facility is good. But pads are not provided there. There is an ending machine, but it doesn't work most of the time. I was NOT a hostel student.
Faculty: Some teachers are really serious about teaching. But some of them give you notes straight from ChatGPT. Most of them are knowledgeable, but mostly the teaching is mediocre, except for a few professors who are really passionate about their job. But personally, they are kind-hearted people who really do care for the students. I would advise anyone joining college to take it into their hands to do 60% of the studying. The course curriculum starts with the very basics at first. I'm not sure if it will make students industry-ready. The exams are very easy to pass.
Other: I chose Chemistry since it is said to be the foundation for many Master's courses like bioinformatics, food technology, etc. I wish the course taught more profession-relevant stuff, but I guess it sort of builds the foundation for your post-graduation. You will not simply get a job with just a Bachelor's in Chemistry. That's for sure. The events are nice, but they take place after class hours. The campus crowd is usually very active. There are opportunities to connect, but it won't happen if you don't take initiative.

5.0Placements5.0Infrastructure4.0Faculty4.0Crowd & Campus Life5.0Value for Money
It is a value-for-money college with great placements and great college life.
Placements: Most students are placed in the previous batch with good placements. The highest package is 6 LPA from Deloitte. Top recruiting companies include auditing firms such as Deloitte and EY, and banking companies like Federal Bank. Most students get internships, as the certificate holds great value. Top roles include auditing, accounting, and banking.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great. College has campus-wide Wi-Fi. Classrooms are well equipped with smart boards. The library is one of the biggest, with a large collection of books from various genres. College has multiple hostels ranging from budget to comfortable options. High-budget hostels include mess facilities, while low-budget ones provide canteen facilities.
Faculty: The curriculum is harder compared to other colleges, as the college is reputed for good placements. It is strict and feels relevant, mainly focusing on job placement entrance tests. The difficulty of semester exams varies, sometimes being hard and other times easier.

The college is amazing, and students are very fun to mingle with.
Placements: Above 60 percent of students are placed. The highest package is around 12 LPA, with an average of 8–9 LPA for B.Com. Companies like Deloitte and EY come for placements. More than 70 percent of students get internships. The college assists with placements and provides internships for almost all students in my department. I do not have prior knowledge about other departments.
Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi, libraries, and labs, all of which are well arranged. On my campus, the classrooms are old, but the new SH campus is modern. The hostel I am staying in is somewhat average and not recommended if you want a posh lifestyle.
Faculty: Most faculty members are friendly and supportive, but some are not very helpful. FYUGP is not fully implemented yet. Students are not able to choose their selective MDCs, as it is based on 12th marks. Semester exams are hard, but the pass percentage is above 80%.
Other: This college provides a fantastic college life. Many programs happening day by day. Students can participate in them. Scholarships are given based on 12th marks, SC/ST quotas, etc.

B.A. in Economics - Batch of 2028

4.0Placements4.0Infrastructure4.0Faculty4.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
Overall, I have a good experience at SH Thevara.
Placements: There are around 75–80% placements at SH. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, etc., recruit regularly. The average package is 4–4.5 LPA, with the highest reaching 6–7 LPA. There is a strong placement cell support at the college. More than 65% of students receive internships during their 2nd year.
Infrastructure: The college is well-maintained and has modern classrooms. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The library has all kinds of reading material required for all subjects. Hostel accommodation is clean, but the rent is a bit high. There is a good canteen with decent food, and the college promotes sports and games.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified with good experience. Economics professors explain complex theories with real-world examples, making them easier to understand. The course makes students industry-ready, in my opinion. The semester exams are moderately hard, and the pass percentage is 85%.
Other: B.A. Economics is an excellent course for those interested in economic systems and policy. The best aspects include great faculty and strong placement support. More real-life connections could help improve the course further. There are lots of events happening in the college regularly. It includes various fests and sports events.

Review of Sacred Heart College - SHC.
Placements: There is currently a batch of 15 students in my course. I do not understand this since the seating list came out. There were many students on the waiting list. The strength of the class is weak this year, but our seniors’ classes seem stronger. It is an autonomous college. The east campus, where I study, is the pricier side of the institution, but even so, B.A. English is the least expensive course on that campus. There are many opportunities provided.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are fine but overpriced, and the current warden is not very good. I recommend staying at a private hostel or PG rather than the college hostel. Food is not satisfactory. The college infrastructure is great, but it is currently undergoing construction.
Faculty: Faculty members are fine. The curriculum and opportunities are good. The FYUGP programme makes things a bit difficult, but it is necessary. Exams are difficult, but sample question papers are provided beforehand.
Other: There are many extracurricular activities, countless clubs, and many fests. These are great for stress relief during the stressful semester.
