One has to apply for a hostel, and it will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Rooms were two sharing with an individual cot and a study table. Rooms have good aeration and natural lighting. The meal quality was good compared to outside PGs, and the menu will be changed once per year. Fees may be high, but safety is pucca with 24*7 security. Sri Venkateswara Engineering College is regarded as a good college, and especially for students who live in Andhra Pradesh. It is affiliated with JNTU Anantapur and is AICTE approved. It is NAAC accredited (A grade) and has programmes accredited by NBA. The college offers UG and PG courses in engineering, management and computer applications. This insitute is not ranked in the top engineering colleges in India, but it offers good educational standards, good placement, and able and dediacted faculty. The campus, infrastructure, and facilities are reasonable, and it should be a very good choice for students who want to pursue an engineering degree at lower cost relative to other engineering colleges around.

Candidates can enter Sri Venkateswara Engineering College in one of two basic ways. If candidates want to enter in the standard entry process, they will need to complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and obtain the minimum required marks (generally 45% for general category), then write the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET (EAPCET) examination and qualify with rank as per the cutoff marks given in the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET bulletin for the year candidates will apply, and take part in the Andhra Pradesh state-level counseling process, and whichever rank allotment they were provided in the counseling process, select SVEC. Alternatively, if candidates are applying directly to the college for around 30% of seats under the management quota, and are following the APSCHE rules and guidelines, then they will apply directly to the college. Diploma holders in engineering or technology may also be eligible for lateral entry into the second year of the B.Tech program, however candidates have to have qualified the Andhra Pradesh ECET examination and go through a separate counseling process.

The faculty at Sri Venkateswara Engineering College are quite well qualified, supportive, dedicated and student-friendly, especially in Computer Science, Electronics and IT departments. Generally, all students are appreciative of the interactive teaching styles, practical and relatable examples and the support and guidance provided in terms of projects and placement. Professors tend to blend traditional teaching approaches with current teaching delivery and learning tools such as presentations and lectures laden with meaningful discussions in treatment of the subjects. While most of the faculty members are generally sincere and well-intentioned, a few students have noted problems with teaching quality in those departments. Most of the faculty are competent and focus on an academic achievement and career development path for their students.

While a blanket 100% scholarship for all students is uncommon, Sri Venkateswara Engineering College (SVCE) does offer scholarships that can fully cover tuition fees for deserving candidates. For instance, some branches of SVCE provide "Merit Scholarships" through their trusts, potentially offering 100% fee waivers (excluding exam fees) for students achieving high marks (e.g., 80% or 90% in 12th grade for B.E. admission). Furthermore, eligible students can also avail themselves of various government-sponsored scholarships based on merit or financial need, which can substantially reduce or eliminate their fee burden.

The food quality in the Sri Venkateswara Engineering College hostel mess is generally considered average to good, with a focus on vegetarian South Indian cuisine. While some students find it satisfactory and meeting basic nutritional needs, others feel there is room for improvement in terms of taste and variety. The menu is prepared by students and revised once a semester, with the canteen also undergoing regular FSSAI certification to maintain hygiene.

Our faculty members were very friendly and pleasant with us and encouraging about new ideas of students. Our faculty always did their best, and they are even very responsible and respectful with every student, even other department students. The course curriculum was relevant. The teaching is very useful here and very helpful. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are quite difficult. Mainly talking about department heads, they are very cheerful to students and they are spending much time regarding students academics.

In order to apply for the B.E./B.Tech Program at Sri Venkateswara Engineering College (SVEC) in Tirupati, candidates should first appear for and qualify in the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET (EAPCET) entrance examination, and then with that merit, they can participate in state-level online counseling. In that counseling, the candidates have to mark SVEC as their choice of institute, in case they are allocated a seat they will need to report to the college with the required documents (10+2 marks, EAMCET score card, cast/income certificates, Adhar, etc.) for document verification and fees. The procedure will fill 70% of the seats as EAMCET merit seat allotment just described. The remaining seats include roughly 30% of seats under the management quota that candidates can apply for directly through the admission portal of the college or by walking into the college with the required documents and applicable fees. Those students applying for a Diploma to degree lateral entry (second year) must clear the Andhra Pradesh ECET and attend the state government run counseling that is separate.
