For this, you are required to fulfil minimum admission criteria which are qualifying 10+2 examination with the percentage of marks as specified by various B.E/B.Tech institutions in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. There are openings for candidate's direct admission under management seats for the candidates who could not get a seat in TNEA counseling, but the fee will be comparatively higher.

For all the B.E/B.Tech courses annual charges for the general category students are between INR 50,000 to INR 75,000 M.E. / M.Tech courses cost between Rs 60,000 and Rs 80,000 per year. However, fee can be slightly differ from course to course or from category to another one as well as hostel charges and some additional facilities.

The eligibility criteria for B.E. / B.Tech at Thiruvalluvar College of Engineering and Technology (TCET) are as follows:Educational Qualification:The candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (12th grade) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.The minimum aggregate marks in these subjects should be at least 50% (45% for candidates from the reserved categories).Age Limit:The candidate must have completed 17 years of age as of December 31 of the year of admission.Entrance Exam:Admission is primarily based on the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process, which uses marks obtained in 12th grade (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).Alternatively, candidates who have appeared for the JEE Mains exam may also be considered for admission based on their score.Other Requirements:The candidate should not have any backlogs or other disqualifications in the required subjects.

Scholarships are offered to first rankers and second rankers, economically backward students, and those students, who belong to the Tamil Nadu State Government Scholarships. The percentage of the scholarship that a student receives will depend on % their qualifications and % of the scholarship awarded for the scholarship programme in question which can take between 25% to 75%.
