Conducted by Bharath University, Chennai, Bharath University Engineering Entrance Exam (BEEE) is an all-India level entrance test taken by aspirants seeking admission into UG and PG programs under various disciplines. These UG and PG programs include B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, MCA and MBA. The entrance test is conducted twice a year in the month of April / May for admission into UG programmes and in the month of May / June for admission into PG programmes.
Bharath University - Chennai, Puducherry and Ooty are the colleges accepting BEEE score.
Eligibility requirements:
Aspirants must comply with these eligibility requirements as per the university norms:
- General Category: Applicants must have qualified 10+2 or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology.
- SC/ST: Aspirants must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.
- Those applicants who had Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in 10+2 can apply to all the programs. However, those who had Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects in 10+2 are eligible only for Bachelor of Technology in Bio Informatics, Bio Medical engineering & Industrial biotechnology and Bio Engineering programs.
- Aspirants taking the 10+2 examination in the month of March/April 2012 are eligible too.
- Lateral Entry: Only those candidates who have cleared diploma/B. Sc from a science group can apply.
Pattern:
The question paper for this entrance exam comprises of four sections:

This 100-marks objective type entrance test encompasses four sections having 25 questions (1 mark each) each from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and General Knowledge.
For the UG courses, aspirants need to stick to 10+2 syllabus followed by major 10+2 boards, while for PG courses; they need to follow the syllabus of undergraduate courses. The duration of the exam is three hours.
