BHU RET Entrance Exam

Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi will be conducting Research Entrance Test (RET) for taking admissions to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) courses in the listed below fields:·        

• Agriculture
• Arts
• Performaing Arts
• Social Sciences
• Sanskrit Vidya Dharma Vigyan
• Science
• Medicine
• Ayurveda
• Dental Sciences

The exam is scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, July 21, 2013.

Eligibility:·  

Aspirants must have passed the qualifying examination securing the minimum percentage of marks and a minimum of 50 marks in academic Record.

Application procedure:·       

• Students can avail the exam information bulletin and application form from BHU website.
• The entrance test fee for SC/ST candidates is Rs.250/- and for others is Rs.500/-
• Candidates can pay the amount through 2 modes:  Through credit card/ debit card or they can make the payment by cash through “Challan” in any branch of HDFC Bank
• The printout of the online submitted application form needs to be submitted in superscript envelope to the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Banaras Hindu University.

Test pattern:

The BHU RET exam encompasses 100 questions that needs to be completed in a duration of two hours. Each question carries three marks making it a total of 300 marks. For each wrong answer, there is a negative marking of one mark
