Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination 2014 (UPSEE 2014) exam papers will contain questions in the multiple choice format which will be in both Hindi and English.
UPSEE 2014: Structure of the exam

Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination 2014 (UPSEE 2014) exam papers will contain questions in the multiple choice format which will be in both Hindi and English. The duration of the exam will be three hours for B.Tech programmes. However, the duration of the exam will be two and a half hours for B. Arch programme and one and a half hours for BHMCT/BFAD. The exam which will be conducted to offer lateral entry in B.Tech and B.Pharm to candidates will also be of one and a half hours.

There is no negative marking in UPSEE.  However, with every right answer candidates will score four marks.

The answer sheet for UPSEE 2014 will be in OMR format.

Different programmes will have different evaluation exams as part of UPSEE 20-14, details of which are as follows:

B.Tech

The question paper would contain 50 objective type questions each from subjects such as physics, chemistry and mathematics. Candidates will be evaluated out of 600 marks.

B. Tech Bio-Technology

The question paper would contain 50 objective type questions each from subjects such as physics, chemistry and biology/mathematics. Candidates will be evaluated out of 600 marks.

B.Tech Agriculture Engineering

The question paper would contain 150 objective type questions from the agriculture discipline. Candidates will be evaluated out of 600 marks.

B. Pharm

The question paper would contain 50 objective type questions each from subjects such as physics, chemistry and biology/mathematics. Candidates will be evaluated out of 600 marks.

B. Arch

The exam paper for B. Arch students will be divided into two sections; part A and part B. Part A would consist of questions from mathematics and aesthetic sensitivity while part B would test the candidate’s drawing aptitude. In this paper, candidates would be judged out of a total of 500 marks.

BHMCT/BFAD

The exam paper for BHMCT/BFAD would contain 75 objective type questions testing the candidate’s general awareness. The maximum marks that a candidate can score for this entrance exam is 300.

Lateral Entry in B.Tech

The exam paper would consist of 75 objective type questions testing the aptitude of diploma holders in engineering. In this paper, candidates would be judged out of a total of 300 marks.

Lateral Entry in B.Pharm

The exam paper would consist of 75 objective type questions testing the aptitude of diploma holders in pharmacy. In this paper, candidates would be judged out of a total of 300 marks.
