Singapore's hospitality diploma in Delhi
You can hope to learn Singapore style hospitality in Delhi, for less! A Singapore-based hotel management training institute is looking to open an institute in New Delhi, reported ibnlive website. The institute has reportedly been training students from Asia for the past five years in hotel and restaurant management.
The institute’s New Delhi campus is expected to be launched by next year and plans to offer international courses at diploma levels. Discussing the launch of the proposed institute, chairman and chief executive officer SHRM College, Hew Tze Yee, told PTI that India is an attractive tourism and hospitality market that would grow in the coming years. To meet the future need for trained personnel in the hospitality sector, the institute is planning to offer specialized courses to Indian students. To materialize the plan, SHRM is looking for an Indian business partner passionate to train and serve staff for India's hotel and restaurant sector.
The demand for relevant technical training is seen to be high among Indian youth and so is their zeal to work in the tourism and hotel sector both in India and abroad. The institute intends to provide a cost-effective training college in New Delhi with international courses in Food and Beverage and hotel management.
The high cost at the Singapore campus becomes a hindrance for some students who are unable to complete their diplomas. The New Delhi campus would bring these international courses closer home and also make them more affordable to Indian aspirants.
