Jobs in Legal Process Outsourcing
In order to outsource American Services, Indian companies are recruiting the US youth. After the recession period, these Indian companies are cashing on cheaper workforce available in US.
Last year, Indian economy managed to overcome the recession period, but as
far as world power and Uncle Sam is concerned, they were still on the edge of recovery at the beginning of this year. With India eyeing towards its expansion plans, various American and European nations saw pouring in of more employment opportunities.
Adding to the list of the jobs is the LPO or Legal Process Outsourcing, which has opened numerous avenues for employment for the youth in America on a big scale. Of late, numerous Indian companies have hired American graduates to get legal services in a big number.
This prevailing scenario can be looked as a new wave in the economy. According to NASSCOM Vice President, Sangeeta Gupta Indian companies are hiring the US staff on a large number. She adds on to saying that, this practice helps the people in their home countries to understand the costumer services in a better manner. Previously various overseas companies, doing business in India, use to hire the local staff. This practice is now being adopted by Indians, venturing abroad.
About Legal Process Outsourcing
The work of LPO or Legal Process Outsourcing can be divided two fold. In this regard BPO observer and Brand Consultant Harish Birju says that legal issues have two aspects. First is sensitive and other non-sensitive. Sensitive topic comprises serious ones like divorce, while the non-sensitive issues include matter related to landlords and rents. According to Birju, the interesting part is that the freshers graduating from Law College give preference to corporate jobs over jobs in legal firm. It is also seen that to work as per the US working hours is comparatively easier and thus more youngsters are willing to work in this field.
Salary
There is no denying the fact, that due to the bad phase of recession, numerous companies slashed the salaries of its employees and legal firms were not untouched with this. The present scenario shows that professionals are prepared to work for $20 per hour. However, as the American economy will improve it is most likely that the salary for these professionals will be hiked.
Legal Process Outsourcing: The Need of the Hour
On this occasion, important question is that why do Indian companies need to hire American professionals in legal sector. The biggest reason behind this is that due to the down surge in the economy, Indian companies get the professionals at a lower cost. Moreover, as recession is still prevailing in the market, legal firms in US are still not prepared to offer handsome salaries to professionals. In addition to this, it gets easier for Indian firms to get their work done quickly and in an easy manner. Owing to these reasons, Indian companies are following the line of its US counterparts in the field of services in Legal Process Outsourcing.
