The news channel uses Lisa across the digital platforms to deliver short news bulletins and special reports.
Sana
Sana is India’s First Hindi AI News Anchor, launched with Lisa in March 2023. It was launched at the India Today Conclave for the Aaj Tak media house. Sana can also deliver news 24/7, without breaks. It can also interact with human anchors and present news bulletins fluently in Hindi.
To give more reliability to the AI anchor, Sana is designed with traditional Indian attire and gives realistic expressions. Sana was created by using Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology.

Soundarya is Kannada’s first AI news anchor, launched by Power TV (a 24/7 Kannada language news channel) on July 11, 2023. This AI anchor was developed to cater to regional audiences. It even mimics the human tone and accent of native Kannada speakers, which makes it more realistic.

AI Kaur is an AI news anchor launched by News18 Punjab/Haryana, a regional Punjabi language news channel. The media house launched AI Kaur on June 21 to 22, 2023, at the Education Summit Season 4, in Chandigarh. AI Kaur can speak in Punjabi and can interact in English. Its bilingual interaction during the Summit impressed the audience.
It was India’s First AI Anchor to be launched during a live event by an Indian regional TV.
AI Krish and AI Bhoomi
AI Krish and AI Bhoomi are two AI news anchors launched by the DD Kisan channel of Doordarshan. The anchors were launched on May 26, 2024, on the 9th anniversary of the DD Kisan channel (a channel catering to the farmers). It can broadcast in up to 50 languages, including Indian and foreign languages.
AI Krish and AI Bhoomi are the first AI news anchors launched on an Indian government TV channel. As the channel caters to the farmers only, the anchors deliver news and updates related to agriculture, including market prices, weather forecasts, agricultural research findings, farming trends, government welfare schemes, etc.
