PGD Media Studies Exam from University Calcutta

University of Calcutta (CU) will be conducting an entrance exam for admissions to Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) program in Media Studies: Film & Television offered at Department of Journalism & Mass Communication for the academic year 2013-14.The exam is scheduled to be conducted on  August 25, 2013.

Eligibility:

• Graduation in any discipline (pass/honours/vocational etc) from a recognized University
• Aspirants who have appeared for final examination and awaiting results can also apply
• Age is no bar
• Reservation for SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates as per rules and University norms

Application Procedure:

Students can avail the application forms from the following address from July 15 to August 20, 2013 on payment of Rs. 250/- in cash:

Selection process:

• 35 seats will be filled through written test. Such candidates are exempted from interview.
• 20 seats are filled through interview which is reserved only for candidates with Journalism & Mass communication /Film Studies/ Videography as their Pass/General/Honours/vocational subjects at the graduation level. Applicants for this category will be exempted from written test.
