Can Prometric ensure that CAT 2010 would be free of technical glitches?
If a transportation company carries people to a destination and suddenly there are 60 more people, they will need more buses. And can someone ensure that no bus will have a flat tyre or an ignition issue or guarantee that a passenger seat will not be jammed? When an exam is conducted on 9000 computers across 33 cities, a small percentage can have some problems. It's normal.
But for students, it is the matter of losing one full year...
We will ensure that every student who is registered will be tested in the testing window. No student will be left without testing.
What exactly is going on at the testing centers to ensure the smooth conduct of exam?
We are doing onsite readiness and preparation before the exam is conducted. The verification of site infrastructure will be done prior to the tests. Centres will be quarantined. Very extensive operational trial will be done. We will have improved technology to ensure a smooth experience. All these tests would be done 45 days before the test is conducted at each centre.
Even this year, on the second day of registration, the website was hit by a virus attack...
There was some malware on the website catiim.com but it was taken care of within minutes. Thousands of candidates have already registered. Moreover, it is just an information site and no data is saved here. All the candidates' information is stored on Prometric website.
