AICTE CMAT in February 2012

AICTE has announced its first online Common Management Admissions Test (CMAT) to select students for AICTE approved management institutes. This entrance exam has been designed to reduce the burden of Students who want to appear for Management courses. It has invited tenders from interested tech companies who can oversee CMAT; same as Prometric is assisting IIMs in CAT administration. The council of AICTE has declared CMAT dates; it will be conducted from 20th to 28 February, 2012.

The time duration for AICTE CMAT 2012 will be 3 hours and it will contain multiple choice questions. It is expected to oversee about 250,000 candidates all over India through test centers covering as many venues as required. AICTE is planning to conduct it as an online computer based test free from a paper-and-pencil test. CMAT score will help you get admissions in around 5000 colleges in India.

Thus, from 2012 you can prepare for CMAT and it will be accepted by all AICTE approved management colleges.
