Shiksha team spoke to Dr Dwarika Prasad Uniyal, Associate Professor (Marketing) & Placements Chairperson, on the emerging trends of this year’s placements at IIM Kashipur. “While the previous batch was handled by the students themselves, this time the faculty has handled the process. The outcome was pretty decent. Unlike last year, where 90% of the batch received paid summer internships, this time there’s been a 100% placement. Significant number of diverse offers was made from various firms. However, FMCG was the breakthrough area. Generally FMCG firms do not come to new campuses. But we broke the trend. Also, our average stipend has increased significantly.”
