Bomb hoax at IIM-B
The Indian Institute of Managament (IIM) campus in Bangalore was cleared for two hours after an anonymous person called and created a bomb scare.
Not taking any risks, the institute immediately alerted the police, who evacuated the building. After two hours of thorough search, no explosives were found inside the institute premises.
โIt later turned out to be a hoax call,โ informed Sankarshan Basu, professor and chairperson of Career Development Services, IIM-B.
He further informed that the call came around noon and the building was evacuated around 12.30 pm.
"Police was called in and they searched the building. It was the standard procedure. We were later told to return to the campus. I am in my office now. There is no bomb," said Professor Basu.
