The honourable Supreme Court of India, hearing the writ petition filed by EPSI, AIMS and group of PGDM institutions, has granted interim stay against the AICTE notification that was issued on December 28, 2010.

This verdict is a big relief to the B-schools as they can now use any of the entrance tests of CAT, MAT, XAT for the admissions to the 2011-13 batch. The B-schools are also free to conduct their own GD-PI for admissions to the 2011-13 batch.

The matter was heard by honourable judges of the Supreme Court today morning, Thursday, 17 March 2011. The three counsels who represented EPSI, AIMS and group of PGDM institutions were Mr. AK Venugopal, Mr. Rajiv Dhawan and Mr. Sunil Gupta.
