CAT 2011 will be conducted by IIM Calcutta with the help of IIM Lucknow

Common Admission Test (CAT) is decidedly the most prestigious management entrance exam in India. In the years 2008 and 2009, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad had conducted the test with the help of IIM Bangalore. CAT 2010 was organized successfully by IIM Lucknow. However in March this year, the flame was handed over to IIM Calcutta to organize CAT 2011, though IIM Lucknow will still support the process as required.

Prof Janakiraman Moorthy, Faculty at IIM-C, has been appointed the convener for the much-awaited management entrance exam that is expected to be conducted as usual in October or November. IIM C has already started working on the modalities of the test and might soon announce the specific details for CAT this year and any changes that might be introduced in the test.

Online CAT exams will continue to be conducted in partnership with Prometric.
