CAT 2013 results: Less than 24 hours to go; ‘Don’t panic’, says CAT Convenor
In less than 24 hours, the fate of more than 1.73 lakh candidates who appeared for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2013 will be decided. According to CAT Convenor Professor Rohit Kapoor of IIM Indore, “The results will be declared on January 14 morning.”
This time, government agency National Informatics Centre (NIC) will host the CAT results and also forward it to non-IIM colleges. “We are not distributing results through any third party. The results will be in our hands. NIC is a Government of India entity. In 2012, NIC had taken over distributing the results at a later stage,” said Professor Kapoor.
Last year, Web Weavers also distributed the results along with NIC. However, 80 scorecards were found inflated, which is probably the reason why NIC has taken over. You can read more about it here.
Advising students, Professor Kapoor says, “Don’t panic. You have done your hard work. Now relax and just hope for the best.”
This year 194,516 candidates had registered for CAT 2013, though only 173,738 attempted the exam.
