CMAT Sept 2014: Test pattern and exam syllabus
CMAT September 2014 will be held from September 25 to 29, 2014. The last date to register for the exam is August 25, 2014. CMAT, conducted by AICTE, is computer-based management entrance test.
CMAT is conducted two times every year β in September and February. Graduates in any discipline can apply for the exam. Final year students too can apply for it.

The exam duration is 180 minutes. Hundred questions are divided in four sections: Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. Thereβs negative marking (of 1 mark) for each wrong answers.
Candidates can avail sample tests from the CMAT website, which will be available from August 10. According to the official notification, βA trial test will be available from 10th Aug. onwards for the candidates to have a feel of the online test and navigation functionality. Candidates are advised to go though them carefully to familiarize themselves with the screens, layout, and navigation.β
The notification further informed, βAt the test venue, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper for calculations. After the test, candidate must leave the scratch paper at the desk. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room. No breaks will be given during the test.β
