Connect & hangout with IIM-A profs!
The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A), has launched a new social media initiative β FacConnect β aimed at extending opportunity to students outside IIM-A to talk and learn from senior faculties of the institute.
Speaking on the topic, IIM-Aβs media cell student in-charge, Sarthak Phadke, mentioned that it is a part of the instituteβs online outreach to provide a platform for interaction. βFacConnect is slated to be a monthly programme with participants getting the chance to interact with a new faculty member each month. Interested netizens will have to go through an online submission and shortlisting process and the shortlisted candidates will get an opportunity to participate in Google Hangout with an IIMA faculty member,β said Phadke in an institute statement.
Topic of discussion will be different each month β related to a new area like public systems, business policy, marketing, business ethics, etc. βThe initiative primarily aims at people who are presently studying for an undergraduate, postgraduate, professional degree or employed but have a keen interest in knowing about such topics,β he said.
FacConnect will allow unhindered participation of people with no management education background. The shortlisting of candidates for the interaction would be done on the basis of answers and essays submitted in response to questions posed to them.
The last date for registering for FacConnect is July 24.
