Having learned serving society at an early age through her parents' social endeavours, Dr Anonna Guha has always known how to give. Regardless, she tried her hand at other professions such as market research, branding and content development for children. New Delhi, June 9 - Having learned serving society at an early age through her parents' social endeavours, Dr Anonna Guha has always known how to give. Regardless, she tried her hand at other professions such as market research, branding and content development for children. But the NGO worker, who now works with Nrityanjali, an NGO started by her father, believes that the lure of money isn't enough to gain success. Loving what you do makes all the difference in the world.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

While growing up, I had dreams of being a classical dancer or athlete. I also wanted to get into advertising and teaching. Education however, was always a huge priority for me.

How did Nrityanjali happen?

Nrityanjali is an institute for performing arts, education, personality development and management services. It was started by my father Dr Tushar Guha in 1963 as a centre for youth to channel their active energy into constructive activities. As a child I always saw my father motivate people. Many came from tough economic conditions, broken homes and abusive marriages.

What kind of work do you do?

We use the elements of performing arts to build confidence, grace and aesthetics in children and youth. We also inculcate the traditions and culture of guru shishya parampara in them.

What is your philosophy in life?

Work hard, dream big, love and learn to give from your heart. Being positive is the key. If one looks for reasons why one cannot do things, one will find them. But it is necessary to find the reasons why one can.
