The forthcoming MBA entrance exams 2011-12 are mentioned below. Have a look:

SNAP 2011:

Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test is conducted by Symbiosis International University for admission to all its post graduate institutes. It is a common and a mandatory written test. The exam is scheduled for Sunday, December 18, 2011. The registration process has ended on 23rd November, 2011. In SNAP 2010 exam, there were 150 questions and the duration of the exam was two hours.

The difficulty level of the exam can be rated from easy to moderate. The total marks allotted for the test is 180. The test includes 4 sections:

  • General English
  • Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency
  • General Awareness
  • Analytical & Logical Reasoning

There were no sectional cut off in SNAP 2010. The negative marking scheme was 0.25 for one mark questions and 0.5 marks for two mark questions.

MAT December 2011:

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA). This test is held four times a year and the last MAT of the year 2011 will be held on December 4, 2011. The paper-pencil based test will begin from 4th December, 2011 and the computer based test (CBT) will begin from 10th December, 2011.

The level of difficulty in MAT varies from easy to moderate. The duration of the exam will be 2.5 hours and it has five sections and each section has 40 questions. Below mentioned are the five sections:

  • Language Comprehension
  • Data Analysis & Sufficiency
  • Intelligence & Critical Reasoning
  • Mathematical Skills
  • Indian & Global Environment

IBSAT 2011:

IBSAT is an aptitude test which is conducted by ICFAI University Group. The exam is scheduled for 24th December, 2011. The registration process for the exam is still underway and the registration window will close on 8th December, 2011.

The difficulty level of the paper is moderate. The duration of this exam is 2 hours. IBSAT consists of 125 multiple choice questions and is divided in four sections. These four sections are:

  • English Usage
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Quantitative Ability
  • Data Sufficiency and Data Interpretation

XAT 2012:

Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI) conducts Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT). This exam is scheduled for 8th January, 2012. The registration process got over on 30th November, 2011. The XAT 2012 scores will accepted by 101 B-schools across India.

The difficulty level assigned for the exam is very tough. There were 101 questions in XAT 2011. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 20 minutes. The last 20 minutes is for the Analytical Caselet (earlier called Essay Writing), which was provided at the end of the main exam. This exam contains 3 sections:

  • Verbal & Logical Ability
  • Quantitative Ability & Decision Making
  • Analytical Reasoning & Decision Making
