Get, set, go for CAT 2012!
Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has declared the dates for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2012 schedule.
This year CAT will be held from October 11 to November 6, 2012. The coordinating body for this year’s test is IIM, Kozhikode. The sale of vouchers for CAT 2012 will begin from July 30 onwards.
Every year over two lakh aspirants sit for the exam seeking admission to the coveted IIMs and other top business schools in the country.
CAT 2012 comprises of two sections of 30 questions each. The time for both the sections is divided separately into 70 minutes for each section i.e. 1 hour 10 minutes, and once you are done with section 1, you can’t back to it for any corrections. (Read more)

CAT 2012 will have two sections:
- Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation
- Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning
Eligibility for CAT 2012:
One must have completed his/her bachelor’s with at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA [45 per cent in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA)], awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
How to apply:
If you fulfill the above mentioned eligibility criteria, then you need to purchase a voucher from any of the participating Axis Bank branches and register for the test.

While registering for the exam, do the following:
1. Create a profile.
2. Fill out the CAT application.
3. Schedule your test
To schedule your test, you can choose any date from October 11 to November 6, 2012.
