Highest domestic offer at IIFT reaches Rs 19 lakh
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) reported a slight increase in its average salary at Rs 12.1 lakh this year from Rs 11.6 lakh last year during the final placements.
Top recruiters include Cognizant and HCL, hiring eight candidates each, informed Munish Bhargava, corporate and placement advisor, IIFT. According to him, more than 90 companies took part in the placement process this year. 15 candidates out of 203 got international job offers. The highest offer was $150,000 which was made by a supply chain & logistics company for a role in Africa. Other international offers were made across locations such as Singapore, Switzerland, Germany, Dubai, Vietnam and Myanmar.
For domestic, a telecom company made the highest offer at Rs 19 lakh at the campus making a huge leap from last year's Rs 15.51 lakh. Bhargava told ET that, there were 33 first time recruiters this year. Some of them include Duferco Group, Stemcor, German Logistics Company Duegro, Shree Renuka Sugars, KPMG, Technopak, Goldman Sachs and Flipkart.
In the public sectors, Power Finance Corporation, Union Bank of India, Central Bank of India and Bank of India, offered profiles across treasury and risk management, project finance and large corporate banking. (Read complete story...)
