IBSAT 2014: View eligibility criteria for the exam

Dates for IBSAT 2014, gateway for admission to MBA/PGPM and PhD programs at IBS Hyderabad, have been declared. The computer-based test will be held over a period of 22 days from December 10, 2014 to December 31, 2014. The last date to apply is December 1, 2014.

IBSAT is a computer-based test aptitude test conducted by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education. The exam for two-hour duration and tests the applicant’s ability in data interpretation, quantitative techniques, analytical reasoning and vocabulary.        

ICFAI University campuses in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Dehradun, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune also use IBSAT scores.

Candidates can also apply to IBS campuses on the basis of CAT 2014 or GMAT (from 2011 onwards) scores.

 

 

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for two-year management program:

  • Graduation in any discipline with 50% and above marks
  • Medium of instruction in graduation should be English.
  • Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2015.
  • Final year bachelor’s students should are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements before May 31, 2015. Till then, the admissions will remain provisional until they produce marks sheets and degree certificates establishing their eligibility. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2015.
  • Eligibility criteria will be checked from August, 2015 onwards. Hence, the onus of ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria rests solely with the candidates.

 

The eligibility criteria for two-year PhD Program:

  • Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks
  • Medium of instruction in graduation should be English.
  • Post Graduation in Management (full time with specialization in Marketing/ Finance/ Human Resource Management/ Operations from an UGC approved University) with 60% and above marks or A Professional qualification like CFA/ CA/ CWA/ CS with 60% and above marks.
  • All applicants should have completed a minimum of 17 years of regular education (on 10+2+3+2 or 10+2+4+2 basis).
  • Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation and/ or post graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2015.
  • Eligibility criteria will be checked from August, 2015 onwards. Hence, the onus of ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria rests solely with the candidates.
