Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) conducts a separate entrance examination for their two-year full-time residential MBA International Business (IB) for admission at their Delhi and Kolkata campuses. The basic objectives of the programme are to familiarise the participants on the fundamental concepts of management and to expose them to the challenges in the emerging competitive business environment in an increasingly globalised world.

Eligibility

  • Recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline. Candidate appearing in the final year examination of graduation can also apply, subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by October 7, 2014.
  • No age limit.

How to Apply

Online application: Candidates can fill online application form on the website, (click here), and then submit the form. Once submitted, an Application number will be generated. Log in to the website using the Application number and Password. Thereafter, select the mode of payment, update the Demand Draft (in favour of ) details OR make an online payment through valid credit / debit card. Candidate also needs to upload their scanned photograph and signature (file size not more than 50kb each). Finally, print your online Application form.

Offline application: Candidates who bought the Prospectus in cash or through demand draft need to complete the enclosed Application Form and send the same in the envelope provided for the purpose by Speed Post/Registered Post/Courier to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, B-21, Qutab Institutional Area, and New Delhi-110016, on or before 3rd September 2013.

Selection Process

  • On the basis of scores in the written entrance test, shortlisted candidates will be called for group discussion, interview and essay writing in January/February 2014 at the following centres – Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.
  • Applicants who opt for Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Guwahati, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam need to select one of the above specified centres for ‘Essay Writing, GD and Interview’ in their application form.

 

Test Syllabus/Pattern

The admission test is a two-hour long examination with 200 multiple choice objective type questions (in English). It generally consists of questions covering:

  • English Comprehension
  • General Knowledge & Awareness
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Quantitative Analysis

Seats are reserved for Foreign Nationals, NRIs and Children of NRIs. Admission is conducted on the basis of General Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) scores, which should not have been declared before January 1, 2012 and should be received by the Institute latest by March 31, 2014.  NRI-sponsored candidates are not considered under this category.
