IIM-A ranks 10th in FT survey
Another feather in the cap of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A)! Yet again, it’s the only Indian institute to find a place in the top 10 global B-schools in the Financial Times (FT) Masters in Management 2012 Rankings. However, IIM-A has slipped to being number 10 this year, down from rank seven in 2011. IIM-A has been ranked for its flagship programme, Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP).
The FT survey ranks top 70 post-graduate programmes in general management that admit students without previous work experience.
FT ranking is based on various parameters including:
- Weighted salary in US$
- Value for money
- Careers
- Placement success
- International students and faculty
- Women students and faculty
- Course fee and length, and so on
IIM-A has been ranked number one in placement success and five in terms of careers. IIM-A made its mark in FT rankings for the first time in the year 2010 with the 8th rank.
