IIM-A ranked 10th in FT surveyAnother feather in the cap of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A)! Yet again, it’s the only Indian institute to find a place in the top 10 global B-schools in the Financial Times (FT) Masters in Management 2012 Rankings. However, IIM-A has slipped to being number 10 this year, down from rank seven in 2011. IIM-A has been ranked for its flagship programme, Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP).

The FT survey ranks top 70 post-graduate programmes in general management that admit students without previous work experience.

FT ranking is based on various parameters including:

  • Weighted salary in US$
  • Value for money
  • Careers
  • Placement success
  • International students and faculty
  • Women students and faculty
  • Course fee and length, and so on

IIM-A has been ranked number one in placement success and five in terms of careers. IIM-A made its mark in FT rankings for the first time in the year 2010 with the 8th rank.

As per your profile you may consider pursuing MBA in operations, as it will further enhance your career prospects, if you do not wish to leave your job, then pursuing part time or distance MBA would be the best option for you.
