IIM-A students get Rs. 1.44 Crore offer from Deutsche
Most of the aspiring candidates want take admission in IIM or ISB and it has its valid reason behind that, and one of the biggest reason is placement of the students. IIM every year record the highest offers among all the management institutes in India. Some of the management institutes are over with their placement process and in some it is still going on. Indian Institute of Management- Ahemdabad is going through the second round of placement process for the academic session. The second phase of placement at Indian Institute of Management Ahemdabad (IIM-A) record the highest offer of Rs. 1.44 crore plus package.
IIM-A started its second phase of placement on 13th February, 2010, the companies has come to the campus under two slots for placement, which is expected to be a month-long. Deloitte made 10 offers (including lateral offers) for consulting roles at the same time as other regular recruiters like TAS and Feedback ventures offered general management and consulting roles and hired six students each.
According to a statement issued by the IIM-A authorities, Indian investment banks, corporate leadership programme and global fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) operations are among the other several important allies for the second phase.
Other recruiters on campus were Hindustan Unilever, Procter & Gamble, American Express, Standard Chartered and Nestle. Apart from the offers extended Sunday, Nestle is also in the process of exclusively hiring IIM-A students for its International Management and Sales Training Programme. This is the first time Nestle is offering this role in India.
According to recruitment secretary, Himanshu Nema, "It is heartening to see recruiters from a variety of sectors taking a liking to the new cohort based process."
