IIM Ahmedabad releases IPRS report for PGP summer placements, 2014-16
Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has released the audited summer placement report for Post Graduate Programme (PGP) 2014-16.
IIM-A follows the Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS) process for all placement reports to ensure transparency.
According to the report, the institute completed its placement process in three clusters on three different days with more than 110 firms participating in it. Out of total strength of the batch, 12 opted out of the placement process and worked with Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE).
Based on job profiles, the firms were grouped into different cohorts. Different group of cohorts came for recruitment on three different days. This way, students get flexibility to make career in sector of their choice. Also, opportunity to work upon entrepreneurial idea under the mentorship of CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad, in summer of 2015, was also offered to students for the first time.
The maximum offers β 16 offers β were made by The Boston Consulting Group. Accenture Strategy, Bharti Airtel and McKinsey & Co were also among the top recruiter making 10 offers each. Goldman Sachs came out to be the largest recruiter among global investment banks, Amazon in the technology sector and HUL in FMCG sector by recruiting nine students each. Bharti Airtel made 11 offers, highest amongst general management firms.
