IIM Rohtak grads bag Rs 28 lakh pay packet
One of the new IIMs, this management institute had reasons to party. IIM-Rohtak reported an average salary of Rs 12.22 lakh, while the highest domestic offering was of Rs 28 lakh. Eminent organisations like HSBC, Cognizant, Tata Power, BPCL, Ernst & Young, Tata Steel, Pfizer, Mother Dairy, Tata Motors, HDFC, Yes Bank and Titan recruited the students.
The convocation took place on Saturday at MDU in the presence of President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and vice-chairman, Tata Steel B Muthuraman, Ravi Kant, the vice-chairman, Tata Motors and chairman, IIM Rohtak Board of Governors, and members of the Board of Governors of the institute. This was all the more special because apart from a wonderful salary package it was a 100% placement season for all the 47 students. This is the fifth IIM to get membership of the AACSB, the most coveted international accreditation agency and is also the first to strike an international partnership with Kelley School of Business of Indiana University, among the top 25 in global research rankings. It is also listed with GMAC. Kant said that the sole intention is to see this institute being known for engaging in authentic contemporary research on societal, organizational and individuals' challenges and choices.
