IIM Udaipur, Genpact in 'Knowledge partnership'
Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur (IIM-U) has signed a seven year agreement with Business process outsourcing (BPO) services provider Genpact to create a ‘Knowledge Partnership’.
As part of the agreement, IIMU and Genpact will jointly develop a center for asset-based lending and finance and an analytics laboratory that will enable students in solving real time problems, work on proprietary and industry leading software tools, and technology as well as get hands-on experience.
Consequently, full-time students will be offered summer internships by Genpact. After completing post graduate diploma in management, students would have the opportunity for full-time employment at Genpact in its banking, analytics and finance businesses. Genpact will be setting up a merit-based scholarship as well.
Both the knowledge partners under the agreement are planning to launch specialisations in asset-based lending where application and practical software simulation would be used to identify trends, assess risks, and forecast emerging issues in the evolving financial marketplace. Read full story
