IIMs declare cutoff list

The results for Common Admission Test 2011 were declared on 11th January, 2012 and the shortlisting process of IIMs is going on right now.
Every IIM has a different criteria to chose management aspirants for admission. At present, the six older IIMs, IIM-Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, and IIM Shillong have declared their cutoffs and have shortlisted candidates for Group Discussion, Personal Interview and WAT process. Other IIMs are yet to come up with their list.
Here are the cutoffs of the 13 IIMs in the country.

The above mentioned cutoffs in the table are for the general candidates and it will differ according to General, SC, ST and OBC candidates. The six older IIMs have cutoff of 90 or more. IIM Kozhikode has low cutoff of 75 percentile to bridge the gap between engineering and non- engineering students.
Amongst all the new IIMs, IIM Ranchi has the highest cutoff of 90. The cutoff range for the other IIMs is 75 to 80.
Apart from the CAT scores, to shortlist a candidate for GD, PI and WAT, IIMs will also consider other factors like past academic records and work experience and if you have work experience that will add weightage to your profile and will help you in getting through the various rounds.
