IMT Hyderabad: Placement for batch 2018-20, average salary 8.44 lakh per annum

With the passing out of every batch, IMT Hyderabad’s placement statistics is seeing steady and impressive growth. The average salary package has been rising every year from the past three years. Apart from the increase in average offers, the top 100 CTC offers have also witnessed an upward movement in recent years. Although it was Rs 7.42 lakh per annum in 2018, the class of 2020 saw Rs 8.44 lakh per annum average for the top 100 offers.

Sector-wise offers

The BFSI sector provided the highest number of jobs (34 per cent) to the students of the 2018-2020 batch of IMT Hyderabad trailed by the Consulting sector (22 per cent). While it was 14 per cent in 2018, it is now 22 per cent of the total offers got by the PGDM students. 16 per cent of the offers received were from the Retail & E-Commerce sector. However, with 15 per cent of the total offers for the class of 2020, the IT/ITES is the fourth largest sector providing jobs for this batch. Manufacturing jobs accounts for 6 per cent of the total number of offers and 4 per cent of the total offers came from the Pharma & Healthcare sector. 

Function-wise offers

For the marketing domain, 32 per cent of the total jobs were provided. This is narrowly trailed by the finance profiles at 27 per cent and then by operations profile displaying 19 per cent of the total offers. Analytics & IT and HR profiles displayed 14 per cent and 8 per cent of the total offers correspondingly. The eminent companies to visit the campus for the first time for recruitment included Genpact, Hexaware, Keus, Wipro, PWC, Schneider Electric, IFB, Ninjacart to name a few. The other eminent corporates who took part in the IMT Hyderabad placement recurrently hired talents from IMT Hyderabad are Care Ratings, HDFC Ltd., HIL, SIGNODE, GATI KWE, Deloitte, Amazon, Blue Star, Federal Bank, Novartis, Ikea, Nephro Plus, FACTSET, CBRE, Metro Cash & Carry, Excelra to name a few.
