ISB student wins global leadership award
Ashvini Jakhar, student of Indian School of Business (ISB), has won a global leadership award for his exemplary role in the post tsunami rehabilitation of victims in 2007.
Jakhar, a former naval doctor, won the Global Student leadership award from the Graduate Business Forum (GBF), a US-based foundation. He competed with top 50 B-school students of the world, including the universities of Texas, Pennsylvania, New York City, Columbia, Oxford and Kellogg business School, among others. Jakhar first underwent an internal selection process at ISB and later the final four-step selection process that led to the win.
GBF identifies and awards students from best business schools across the world who demonstrates innovative qualities as leaders. This year, the GBF conference was held in Hyderabad.
