KMAT 2014: Eligibility and Selection Criteria

KMAT 2014 will be held on August 24, 2014. KMAT is a state level management entrance test for the admission in the private B-schools in Karnataka. The exam is conducted by KPPGCA (Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges’ Association) on behalf of the Government of Karnataka.

The last date to submit application forms is August 20, 2014. KMAT scores are used for admission to MBA, PGDM and MCA programmes in more than 169 colleges in Karnataka. To view participating colleges, click here.

β€œStudents are admitted on the basis of an entrance tests and marks secured in the qualifying exam. The test consists of objective type questions and contains different papers for MBA/PGDM and MCA,” informed a notice on the official website.

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have a graduation degree from any recognized university. Final year candidates can also apply.
  • Students must have minimum 50% to attend the examination.

 

Selection Criteria

Candidates will be selected on the basis of KMAT scores, group discussion and personal interview.

β€œWith almost 200,000 applicants every year in the race to get a place in one of the top tier business schools, the selection criteria is stiff and normally entails a national level examination, followed by an interview and group discussion,” informed the official notification.
