Last minute tips for MAT December 2011

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is one of the most prestigious entrance exams of the country. It is usually called as a second tier management entrance exam in India. It is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA). It is held four times in a year- September, December, February and May. Most of the testees prefer to take the exam in the month of December and February.

MAT December 2011 is scheduled for Sunday, December 4th, 2011. The timings for the exam are 10.00am-12.30pm and the computer based test will take place on 10th December, 2011.

• Keep yourself updated:

It is one of the most important examination strategies that one should keep himself/herself updated about the latest events and current affairs. In order to do so, read newspapers on daily basis and it will help you in enhancing your knowledge.

• Keep an eye on advancements in the business world:
  

It is suggested to keep your third eye on the business world. Read newspapers, magazines, and watch business channels and try to grab all the latest advancements in the business world. In the recent past, there were some questions asked in the exam related to Mergers and Acquisitions. Hence, by this exercise you would be able to keep a check on your general knowledge related to business advancements.

• Organize your notes and revise regularly:
  

Preparing notes helps in the revision process and it also helps you in recalling the things you've learnt in the past. Its time to go through to all your notes and don't get stuck to any particular topic. Have a glimpse on all the topics.

• Take mock tests and enhance your capabilities:
  

MAT is the only B-school entrance exam in India which tests your speed as well as accuracy. So while taking your mock test, keep a check on your speed and how accurate you can go. While taking mock test, try to solve the questions by using some alternative methods especially in Maths. Devote your time in analyzing the questions and devising logical techniques while taking mock test. But, remember don't devote your whole time in one section. It is important to devote equal time to all the sections.
