MDI Gurgaon wraps up final placement 2015 with a 15% rise in average salary
The final placements at Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon has been wrapped up. A total of 174 recruiters participated in the placement process of 328 students of Post-Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM), Post-Graduate Programme in Human Resources (PGP-HR) and Post-Graduate Programme in International Management (PGP-IM).
This year, the average salary went up by 15% over last year. The average salary received for PGPM is Rs 16.56 LPA, for PGP-HRM it is Rs 15.57 LPA and for PGP-IM its Rs 15.54 LPA. The highest package bagged by the student of PGPM is Rs 25.18 LPA. While, the highest salary received in PGP-HRM is Rs 21 LPA and in PGP-IM is Rs 22.50 LPA. The highest international package offered is Rs 31.36 LPA.

About 71 students accepted Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). Of the total strength of the batch of 2013-15, about eight students stepped out of the placement process to carry their own entrepreneurial project. Snapdeal emerged as the largest recruiter by making 26 offers. Nestle made a comeback to the institute in this placement season after a small break. A total of 18 firms were the first time recruiters at the institute which includes Adobe, Bank of America, The Bain Capability Centre, Grail Research, BT Global, Heinz, Indus Valley, Maersk, ICICI Prudential, NetApp, PlayGames24X7, Novartis, ReNew Power, Snapdeal, Rupee Power, Syngenta, Stellium and Tata Communications.
