No takers for 8000 MBA, MCA seats
On Wednesday evening, the second round of admissions concluded at Gujarat Technological University (GTU) with about 1,055 seats remaining vacant.
It is likely that about 8,000 MBA and MCA seats in Gujarat may lie vacant this year. Considering the lack of interest shown by students for these courses, the probability for another round of admissions is less. After the first round of admissions, about 7,000 seats were vacant. The second mock round began from July 16, 2012.
GTU has directed college managements not to obtain original documents from students enrolling for MBA, MCA. Colleges look forward to government’s help to solve the issue of vacant seats. Read more
There are about 131 MBA colleges and 83 MCA colleges in Ahmedabad offering 11,227 seats for MBA, and 5,842 seats in MCA.
