Prerana 2009 Rock Show

<p>The evening of 6th November 2009 saw the serene NITIE lawns spring alive to the sound of rock as the students of NITIE let their hair down with <strong>Decibelz</strong>, the rock show of their annual business fest <strong>Prerana 2009</strong>. Local band Talash opened the show with a cover of &ldquo;Bandeh&rdquo; from Indian Ocean and &ldquo;Pichle Saat Din&rdquo; from Rock On. Once the crowd was warmed up for the headliners Parikrama, the maestros of Indian rock set the stage afire. Parikrama performed their own compositions &ldquo;Vapourize&rdquo; and &ldquo;But It Rained&rdquo; along with covers of Pink Floyd and Metallica. Their impromptu variations and improvisations made the crowd go wild.</p> <p><br /><br />Besides the students of the NITIE, present among the audience was Mumbai's young crowd, particularly those from neighbouring colleges and those participating in <strong>Prerana 2009</strong>. With screeching fusion of guitar and violin solos, the evening witnessed sheer musical brilliance personified.</p>
