Swedish innovation photo contest
Under the aegis of the "Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Week", the Embassy of Sweden is organising a juried photo exhibition based on the theme of "Swedish Innovations - Indian Interpretations". There are numerous Swedish innovations, many of which are present in the lives of Indian people as well, this exhibition, which will be juried by a panel of eminent personalities, is inviting Indian photographers for entries capturing these innovations in an Indian context or interpretation.
Entries will be accepted till today i.e. September 8, 2010 and one winner from the participants will be honoured with a round-trip ticket to Stockholm. For further information visit www.swedenabroad.com.
British students get a taste of Indian culture
Thirty students from UK visited India recently on the Prime Minister's global fellowship programme conducted by Britsh Council. Selected out of more than 1500 British applicants, they spent several weeks in India and stayed in the homes of local kids and also attended schools such as Sardal Patel Vidyalaya and Laxman Public School, etc.
