Aryan Business School Gets US Accreditation
Aryan Business School (ABS) has become the first premier B-School in the Punjab region to get membership of US-based accreditation accreditation body 'Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business' (AACSB). ABS chairman Mr. Anshu Kataria told "With the AACSB membership, Aryans would get a platform to exhibit its talent and leadership globally. On the one hand existing students would get benefit in placements, on the other hand it would give us a platform to tap international market. India is becoming a hot choice for education for students around the globe." He added that world famous Harvard, Wharton, Kellogg and London business schools are accredited member of AACSB. In India, around 15 business schools including S.P. Jain, XLRI, IIM-Kolkata (Calcutta) and ISB-Hyderabad are part of the AACSB.

Admission Process In DU To Start A Little Earlier This Year
Delhi University (DU) is going to start its admission process in May and is planning to finalise all formalities before August,. According to a source, by end of this month, the university's admission committee would finalize the dates for admissions. The admission process in the university normally starts in June after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declares the Board results and ends by September.

HRD Minister Advises B-School Students To Head Village Schools
Union HRD Minister, Mr. Kapil Sibal said that premier B-School pass-outs can handle village schools better. He said, "A number of IIM and IIT students come from rural background and they want to give back something to their villages. We should explore this opportunity." The Minister Mr. Sibal also added that, "On a normal course, it takes about nine years for a teacher to become principal in a school. But if an IIM or IIT graduate undertakes the Leadership Development program in a university, he can be recruited as a principal within two years." However, after serving a certain period, a person would be free to go back to any industry if he is willing to move into the corporate world.

IIM-A Signing More MoUs With American Institutes
These days, Indian Institute of Management - Ahmedabad (IIM-A) is signing MoUs with American Institutes, indicating increasing interest of American students in IIMA. Talking about the new MoUs being signed between IIMA and American institutes, manager of global partnerships and corporate affairs at IIMA, Ms Ishita Solanki said, "We have recently arrived at the final stages of signing MoUs with two more American institutes, The Fisher College of Business at the Ohio State University and Darden Business School at the University of Virginia. The process would be complete in sometime and the student exchange programme with these institutes would be operational from September 2010."

More Funding For Foreign Students in Australia
Australia's Deputy Prime Minister Ms. Julia Gillard announced funding of $5.1 million to further support the country's international education industry and "safeguard the course fees of international students". Ms. Gillard told that this was intended to reinforce confidence in the quality of the Australian international education sector and to strengthen the registration process.

Rs.1.44 Crore Offered At IIM-A Placements
The second phase of placement process at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) is going on full swing. Deutsche Bank made 20 offers with the highest offer of Rs. 1.44 crore plus. Deloitte made 10 offers (including lateral offers) for consulting roles while other regular recruiters like TAS and Feedback Ventures offered general management and consulting roles and hired six students each.
