MBA is a craze in India with every student aspiring to earn a business degree. The management colleges mushrooming in India promises jobs and bright career prospects.

However, the reality is different. Barring a few good B-schools in India, most of MBA colleges are failing on their employment promises.  In 2006-07, seats for MBA courses stood at 95,000. It was increased to 3,60,000 in 2011-12. Yet, the campus recruitments have gone down by 40%.

About 160 B-schools are expected to close soon. The harsh reality is that management graduates from only the top 20 B-schools get employed straight away after college while students of other MBA colleges struggle to find the right job. This infographic is all about the present situation- Indian MBA graduates and their future.
