SPJIMR & IIM Rohtak students top RMAI awards
The Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI) organises Ayurvet RMAI Awards annually to encourage students looking to make a career in rural marketing. This year, Ranjana Dobal of SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) was chosen the topper for her summer project on ‘Value chain intervention – Self-sustainable business models’.
The second prize went to Santosh Kumar Gupta of IIM Rohtak for his work on ‘Rural electrification’. The third prize was also bagged by a IIM Rohtak student Pranit Upadhyay. He worked on ‘A study on rural marketing and distribution in India’.
RMAI Awards 2012 saw a warm response with 84 entries from prominent B-schools like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Rohtak, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, IIM Shillong, SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, and MICA.
Rest of the Top 10 entries at RMAI Awards 2012 included one more entry from SPJIMR, two from IIM Lucknow, two from IIFT Delhi, and one each from IIM Indore and IIM Kozhikode.
The panelists for the awards included RV Rajan, chairman, Anugrah Madison Adveritsing and founder member of RMAI; Sanjeev Shukla, general manager, Hero Motocorp; and Prof Chander Sabharwal, professor at Institute of Management Technology (IMT) and managing director of Corp Health Products.
