Stanford will be soon offering degree from Ahemdabad
The Indian education system is changing slowly. Many Indian universities have inked the tie-up with foreign universities. Very soon many top foreign universities will set up their shops in India. But presently there are still many big names which are associated with Indian Universities. Few week back one of the top foreign universities decided to offer degree to students in collaboration with one of the Punjab Technical Institute.
Following the same path Ahemdabad University is in talks with Stanford University to have a tie-up with them. A delegation of the letter
is looking after the possibilities of signing the proposal with the premium institutes of the city. The university authorities have admitted that talks are going on with Stanford University but they said they can not disclose further on this topic presently.
Praful Anubhai, chairman of the Ahmedabad University board said, "It will be premature to say anything on the subject at present. But we are in discussion with the Stanford University."
Prof. AH Kalro, Provost of Ahmedabad University also confirmed the dialogue with Stanford University and said, "It is too early to say anything about the discussion or any kind of tie-up with the university but we are exploring the possibilities of setting up an innovation centre in the Ahmedabad University with the Stanford University. We are planning to develop and launch some courses in the field of innovation that will help ideas to transform into products for the market."
Time and again many universities signed MoU with foreign universities. This is a good thing for those who want to acquire a degree from a good foreign university. Getting dual degree one from the Indian University and another from foreign university will surely help a lot to students. Getting the foreign degree at you home town is great for any student who does not have any resources to study abroad. This is really a good step for Indian students.
