UPSEE MBA Exam 2017: Application Form, Eligibility, Dates
Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) is conducted year after year by Uttar Pradesh State Technical University (UPTU). The entrance examination has been allocated to Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow by Government of Uttar Pradesh. UPSEE is a gateway for admission to various courses that are offered by the university, and also to other institutes that are affiliated to AKTU.
By qualifying in this state level entrance exam, a candidate can secure admission at government aided institutes, at unaided private institutes that are affiliated to UPTU or at some other Uttar Pradesh state universities.
Candidates can secure their admission in programs like MBA, MCA, MAM, B. Tech, B.Arch., B.Pharm., BHMCT, BFAD, BFA and 2nd Year of B. Tech., B.Pharm., MCA (Lateral Entry) by clearing UPSEE exam successfully.
UPSEE is controlled and supervised by the Central Admission Board (CAB), constituted under Government of Uttar Pradesh’s Technical Education Department. The post of chairman of CAB is handled by The Vice Chancellor of UPTU.
UPSEE 2017 exam dates have not been announced yet. Aptitude Test for MBA 2016 was conducted on April 24, 2016 from 9am to 11am – the result of the same has been declared.
UPSEE MBA Exam 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates willing to appear for UPSEE 2017, must ensure that they comply by the eligibility criteria of the exam. Applications of candidates who do not fulfil the eligibility criteria will be rejected by the officials. The eligibility criteria of UPSEE 2017 is as follows:
- The candidate must have attained a Bachelor’s degree (minimum three years duration) from any recognised Indian University or equivalent recognised by A.I.U. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% in aggregate. Candidates belonging to SC/ST must have secured a minimum of 45% in aggregate
- Age no bar

UPSEE MBA Exam 2017 Application Form & Process
Candidates must note that the application process for UPSEE 2017 is online only. Candidates willing to register for the exam need to visit the official website, and fill in the application form. Before filling in the application form, the candidate must check the eligibility criteria of the exam.
The date for submission of application forms has not been announced yet. Last year, the application process commenced on Feb 24, 2016 and continued till March 27, 2016.
To complete the online application process, the candidate needs to perform three steps:
- Registration
- Uploading of photograph, signature and thumb impression
- Payment of exam fee
Before the candidate starts filling in the application form, he/she must be ready with the following:
- A working mobile number
- A valid e-mail ID
- A recent color passport size photograph (3.5cm X 4.5cm) in JPEG format. The size of the photograph must not exceed 100KB. The background of the photograph must either be white or off-white
- A scanned image of signature (3.5cm X 1.5cm) in JPEG format. The size of the scanned copy must not exceed 30KB.
- A scanned image of left thumb impression (3.5cm X 1.5cm) in JPEG format. The size of the scanned copy must not exceed 30KB.
Once all of the above are ready, visit the official website and follow the below mentioned steps to fill in the application form successfully.
- Click on the link 'UP State Entrance Examination for PG (UPSEE-2016)’
- Click on ‘Apply’
- The candidate will be redirected to a new screen that shall contain instructions and procedure for online application form
- Read all the details and click on ‘Proceed’
- Once this is done, the candidate will be redirected to the online application form
- The candidate needs to fill in personal details such as his/her name, father’s name, mother’s name etc.
- Next, enter communication addresses like residential address, working mobile number, valid e-mail ID
- Once the details have been filled in, the candidate needs to choose a password and a security question. The candidate will receive an application number that will required for future logins
- Next, click the ‘Submit’ button. If you want to makes any changes, click the edit tab and makes the required changes
- If all the details are correct, enter ‘Final submit’
- Once the application form is filled, the candidate needs to upload a scanned image of passport size color photograph (3.5cm X 4.5cm) in JPEG Format. The size of the file should not exceed 100 KB
- Next, a scanned image of the candidate’s signature needs to be uploaded (3.5cm X 1.5cm) in JPEG Format. The size of the file should not exceed 30KB
- Also, the candidate needs to upload a scanned image of his/her left thumb impression (3.5cm X 1.5cm) in JPEG Format. The size of the file should not exceed 30KB
- Once all the above mentioned steps are complete, the candidate needs to make the examination fee. Candidates must note that the fee can be paid online only using Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking
- Choose your preferred mode of payment and click on the link ‘Proceed for Payment’
- Once the payment is done, the candidate will receive a ‘Transaction Number’ – the same needs to be saved for future transactions
- If the payment has been done successfully, the candidate will be able to view ‘Download Confirmation Page’ – this page needs to be downloaded. Also, take 2 printouts of the page
UPSEE MBA Exam 2017 Pattern
- UPSEE is an objective multiple type computer-based test, wherein candidates need to select one correct answer for every question
- For every correct answer, 4 marks will be allotted to the candidate
- If a candidate chooses more than one option, no marks will be allotted for that particular question
- There is no negative marking. However, a separate record of incorrect answers is kept
- Aptitude test for MBA consists of 100 objective type questions of 400 marks

UPSEE MBA Exam 2017 Syllabus
UPSEE assesses an MBA aspirant’s verbal ability, quantitative aptitude, logical & abstract reasoning and current affairs knowledge. The exam paper is divided into 4 sections, namely, Section A, B, C and D. The contents of the exam page are as follows:
