XAT 2017 Students Reaction: Decision Making tricky

XAT 2017 is now over. Before the exam, test-takers were anxious and worried about the difficulty level of the exam. The exam is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur every year, and is a gateway for admission to XLRI Jamshedpur, Xavier Associate Management Institutes and more than 100 B-schools across the country.

Shiksha reached an exam centre at Noida to know how the exam paper was? Here’s what they had to say: 

Vaibhav had appeared for XAT for the first time and was a little worried about his performance in the exam. He said, “I was worried about the change in the exam pattern as all the mock tests that I had attempted were of a different pattern. However, if asked, I would say that the paper was of moderate difficulty.” 

This was Ankush’s second attempt at XAT. This is what he had to say, “Last year the paper was tough, but this year it was extremely easy. Only the Decision Making section was a little tricky, but here I would like to clarify that the section was not tough, only tricky. This time I am certainly hoping to get a good score.” 

Surabhi said, “I think the first thing that I would like to mention here is that the change in the exam paper somehow worked in my favor. The paper was expected to be of high difficulty level, but I found the paper easy.” 

Kanika said, “There were no surprises in the exam. For me, Quant and Verbal sections were very easy. Decision Making was a little tough for me and I spend some extra time in solving that section, Having said this, I think I have performed well; let’s see how much I will be able to score.” 

Vedika also found the Decision Making section a little tricky. Here is what she had to say about the paper, “Talking about the overall difficulty level of the paper, I think it was moderate to easy. The Decision Making section was tough while the Quant and Verbal sections were easy.”
